The Pro Bono Radio show at Queen's University was a project initiated by the 2005-2006 Pro Bono Coordinators in conjunction with CFRC radio. The Queen's University program is the second of its kind in Canada, the first being established by the law school at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia.
The Queen's incarnation of the show airs weekly on CFRC 101.9 FM, servicing the Kingston, Ontario community. Showtime is Thursday from 11:30am to 12:00pm. The first live broadcast date was October 13, 2005.
The aim of the program is to provide legal viewpoints to the surrounding community and give the law students a chance to flex their creative muscle. This is kept in check by the understanding that law students are not to give advice.
