[edit] Summary
Distribution of the difference between proper orbital elements and osculating orbital elements for asteroids with semi-major axes lying between 2 and 4 AU. Eccentricity at top, and inclination at bottom.
The diagrams were created by me (Piotr Deuar) using:
- Proper element data for 96944 minor planets, which was obtained from the AstDys site. Data was dated March 2005, calculation was by Z. Knezevic and A. Milani.
- Osculating orbital elements from the astorb database. This data was dated 27 Dec 2005, and computed by Edward Bowell.
