[edit] Personal attack warning
On the P.E.O. Sisterhood talk page, I note that you endorsed a personal attack by an anonymous user on another anonymous user. Please refrain from personal attacks on Wikipedia. Such behavior is incivil] and is not appreciated on Wikipedia. Kelly Martin (talk) 23:53, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- This comment has caught my eye finally, and so I went off to look at the controversy. The only comment ascribed to PrincessLJ there is hardly a personal attack. The point of her comment was in keeping, though perhaps unknowingly, with the WP policy of no original research. It is very hard to classify it as a personal attack as does the comment above. Speculation about others' motives isn't very helpful on WP (given that the WP standard of NPOV makes such motives inapplicable without the N), if probably inescapable in practice, but PrincessLJ did nothing more than so speculate. In my view, no harm, no foul, no problem. ww 19:32, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] use of the term 'diabetic'
You have recently done a thorough job of rooting out use of this term in several articles. It is not so widely thought derogatory and so the implicit position that it is (in your edits) is dubious when enforced on WP. I have commented on this at the article insulin and would appreciate some discussion on this issue. ww 19:42, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Birthplace.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Birthplace.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:05, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
