[edit] Monads
In general people depend on each other for at least part of their food and other necessities. Hermits go off to live by themselves but may depend upon supplies provided by other people. Only a very few manage to live off the land for a while completely on their own. A work of art, as an expression of a view of things, is apt to be most effective if produced by an artist working along. Some arts, though, like theater, films, and architecture require the collaboration of many people. What happens in an organization or community depends on actions of subgroups and individuals that make it up. These tend not to be equal in influence. Often one individual (monad) will have more power than the others. Autocracy is where that person can make decisions affecting the others without their consent.
