[edit] Moved discussion

The discussion here, which should be about the rank of private, was discussion about private (disambig page), incorrectly redirected here. I did a cut-and-paste to Talk:Private. --SigPig 03:02, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Removed statement about pay for US Army Privates. Current salary pay is available from http://www.dod.mil/militarypay/pay/bp/paytables/jan2007_basicpay.html . The removed figure was close to the actual current pay for an E-1, but not an exact match. Privates also recieve allowances for living expenses, which was not mentioned in the statement I removed. [edit] PV1 and PV2

Is there actually any (current) source for the use of PV1? This question has led to a bit of an edit war here. --rimshotstalk 14:19, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
