[edit] Zeid and Lawrence

Anyone interested might want to check out the December 2007 issue of Vanity Fair which includes a 1918 map drawn by T.E Lawrence of the Middle East in which he suggested Zeid be made King of Syria. French rule negated that possibility and he was sent to Iraq to help his brother instead, which is why his royal house is connected to Iraq and why Damascus has an ongoing dispute with the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan.Seth J.
