[edit] Legionnaire Zimmermann

Anyone know if there is a story worth relating of legionnaire Zimmermann? Who he was and why he was picked to be re-interred in France after Algeria was lost? Engr105th (talk) 22:47, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

According to the French wikipedia article on the Foreign Legion Heinz Zimmermann was the last legionnaire to die in the Algerian War, which made him the last legionnaire to die in Algeria. Carl Logan (talk) 19:14, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
