[edit] Medway Stand cost
I think I recall £2.2M as having been an original budget for the Medway stand, but much of the club's current financial position is due to a massive overspend on that project. Figures of up to £9M are bandied about on the messageboards, but what might be a reliable and verifiable source of a more realistic figure? Kevin McE 20:45, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sponsored name
Will it be necessary to move this page from 1st June to krbs Priestfield Stadium? I hope not, but is acknowledgement of sponsors consideered part of accuracy? Kevin McE 23:11, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say we should, as that will be its official name and that's what WP should use in all cases. See, for example, KitKat Crescent or Fraser Eagle Stadium. It's an unusual case, though, in that I can't think of another example of a ground keeping its existing name but having a sponsor's name stuck in front - normally they're renamed completely (at least that hasn't happened!) [edit] State of the pitch
If a few moans (probably from disgruntled opponents who were soundly thrashed at Fortress Priestfield :@) ) are going to be included, then that should be countered with the many awards that the pitch condition used to gain in (at least) the 80s: but where might they be found? - I'll have a hunt around...... ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:47, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Other uses
I fail to see how the second paragraph of the "Other uses" section fits with the theme of that section. I think it would probably fit better in the "History" section, seeing as it deals more with Gillingham's temporary relocation, rather than a different use of the ground itself. – PeeJay 12:04, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- It wasn't Gillingham who relocated, it was Brighton who relocated to Priestfield, therefore it fits in that section as it refers to the stadium being used for matches other than those of the team that owns it, in the same way that the "other uses" section of the article on Villa Park talks about all the FA Cup semi-finals that have taken place there....
