Priyaranjan Das Munshi is the current Minister of Information and Broadcasting in the Indian government. His party is the Indian National Congress.
Born on 13 November 1945, Mr. Das Munshi is a graduate in Law. He was President of Youth Congress, West Bengal, India, from 1970-71. He entered the Indian parliament for the first time in 1971. He became a minister for the first time in 1985, when he was sworn in as Union Minister of State, Commerce.
He has been the President of All India Football Federation for almost 20 years.
In personal life he is married to Deepa Dasmunsi. The couple is blessed with a son.
