Prix des Réservoirs
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Prix des Réservoirs is a Group 3 flat horse race in France for two-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately 1 mile) at Deauville Racecourse in October.
It was first run in 1904 at Chantilly, transferring to Longchamp in 1907. With the exception of a single wartime venue change in 1942, the race remained at Longchamp until 1995, moving to its present venue the following year.
Originally contested by both sexes, the Prix des Réservoirs was restricted to fillies only in 1972, and attained Group 3 status in 1976.
