Prix Perth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Prix Perth is a Group 3 flat horse race in France for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately 1 mile) at Saint-Cloud Racecourse in late October or early November.

It was first run in 1901 at Maisons-Laffitte and was named in honour of the successful French racehorse Perth (1896-1908). The race was soon transferred to Saint-Cloud, where it has mostly remained throughout its history.

The distance of the race was modified many times in the early years, but it has been unchanged at 1,600 metres since 1979.
