The Prix Cléopâtre is a Group 3 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run over a distance of 2,100 metres (approximately 1 mile 2½ furlongs) at Saint-Cloud Racecourse and takes place annually in May.
Whereas many French races for fillies are titled with the names of mythological goddesses, such as Astarté, Diane, Minerve and Pomone, this race was instead named after a historical figure, Queen Cleopatra of Egypt.
It was first run in 1952 at its present venue, where it has remained with two exceptions, moving to Maisons-Laffitte in 1990 and Evry in 1991. The distance of the race has been unchanged throughout its history.
