Priscilla Feral (born in or about 1949, Hartford) is president of the international advocacy group Friends of Animals (founded in 1957 in the state of New York by Alice Herrington).
Under Feral's leadership, the group has developed from a national to an international group -- adding a Canadian branch, and contributing to conferences, gatherings, and publications in the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, and Africa -- and has also merged with two rescue groups: Primarily Primates, a sanctuary in San Antonio, Texas, and Marine Animal Rescue (formerly Whale Rescue Team), run by Peter Wallerstein in Los Angeles County, California. FoA's other prominent projects include confronting the international bird trade, advocating for free-living wolves, seals, and fur-bearing animals, advancing the theory of nonhuman personhood, and promoting vegan cuisine and education.
