Princess Takata

Princess Takata (田形皇女 ? - 728) was a Japanese princess during the Asuka period and Nara period of Japanese history. She was a daughter of Emperor Temmu and Lady Ōnu whose father is Soga no Akaye. Prince Hozumi is her older brother, and Princess Ki her older sister. She was a Saio.

She handed over the Saio's work from Princess Izumi on the 29th day of the eighth month, 706. Ten months later she had to resign from the job and left the Saiku in Ise on the 15th day of the 6th month, 707, due to Emperor Mommu's death.
After that she got married with Prince Mutobe and gave birth to Princess Kasanui, who was later one of great court poets.
On the sixth day of the second month of 724, the rank of Ni-hon was confered on her.
