Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan (Arabic: سمية بنت الحسن) was born on May 14, 1971 in Amman, Jordan. Her father is Prince Hassan bin Talal and her mother is Princess Sarvath El Hassan.[1]

In August of 1992 she married Nasser Judeh, the son of Sami Judeh, Jordan's former Cabinet Minister. Her husband is the country's current Government Spokesperson. They have four children together:[2]

The Princess' work mainly centers on issues related to education, technology, art and archaeology. For example, she is presently: the head of the Princess Sumaya University for Technology Board of Trustees (PSUT), the President of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) as well as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Jordan National Museum.[3][4]
