Princess Royal Stakes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Princess Royal Stakes is the former title of a flat horse race in the United Kingdom for three-year-old and above thoroughbred fillies and mares. Prior to 2008 it usually took place at Ascot Racecourse as a Group 3 race, and was run over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs (2,414 metres) in October.
From 2008 the race is to be given a new title and will be run at Newmarket with Group 2 status. The title Princess Royal Stakes is to be adopted by a Listed race at Ascot previously known as the Harvest Stakes.
