Princess Rahma bint El Hassan was born on August 13, 1969 in Amman, Jordan. Her father is Prince Hassan bin Talal and her mother is Princess Sarvath El Hassan.[1]

In July of 1997 she got married to Alaa Batayneh, the son of Arif Al Batayneh, one of Jordan's Senators. Her husband is the current Director General of Jordan Customs. They have two children together:[2]
