Princess Natasha is a flash animation series developed by Larry Schwarz for AOL Kids. The series ran from 2004 to 2006. The series features the adventures Princess Natasha, who assumes the role of a secret agent/exchange student in an Illinois high school to stop her evil uncle Lubek from overthrowing the fictional country Zoravia and its respected monarchy. While living in the United States, Natasha lives with the O'Brien family, which consists of a father, mother, and two boys: the peculiar K.C. and the indifferent high schooler Greg, on whom she has an unrequited crush. Other characters include her friends from school, such as Maya, a tomboyish girl, and Greg's girlfriend Kelly, a snobby popular girl.
Natasha's uncle Lubek is the villain of the series. Lubek disguises himself as a professor and battles Natasha over wild schemes with the help of stormtrooper henchmen, although Natasha and her helper and fellow Zoravian Oleg always win easily. She wears a special outfit for operations with special devices for use against Lubek.
The show's plot and humor are basic. Running gags include the notice outside the school which features an amusing caption, different in each episode, and the continuing presence in plots of the Boofer Fruit, a Zoravian plant with purple fruit and a jagged white line down the middle, used in cakes or eaten raw.
Zoravia has a national holiday, National Stick Day, where the King gives free sticks to his people.
Princess Natasha is also featured in several public service accouncements appearing on KOL Secret Slumber Party on CBS. There are games based on the Princess Natasha series for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.
