Princess Maria of Romania is the youngest daughter and fifth child of Michael I (Mihai), King of Romania, and his wife Queen Anne. She was born on 13 July 1964 at Hellerup, Denmark.
On 16 September 1995 in New York, she married Casimir Mystkowski (born 13 September 1958), a Polish Roman Catholic, thus losing her place in the British order of succession. They divorced in December 2003.
