Princess Margarita of Baden

Princess Margarita of Baden (born 14 July 1932) is the daughter of Prince Berthold, Margrave of Baden and Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark.

Her paternal grandparents were Prince Maximilian of Baden and Maria Luise of Hanover. Her maternal grandparents were Prince Andrew of Greece and Princess Alice of Battenberg. She is therefore a niece of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband and consort to Queen Elizabeth II. She is first cousin to Prince Charles and his siblings.

On June 7, 1957, she married Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia. Out of this marriage were born Prince Nikolas (1958) and Princess Katarina (1959). They were divorced in 1982.

She is in the Line of succession to the British Throne.

As a matrilineal descendant of Elisabeth of Luxembourg, she is a matrilineal relative of Nicholas II of Russia. Thus she and all her female-line descendants are members of mitochondrial haplogroup T.
