Princess Louise of Denmark and Norway

Louise, Princess of Denmark and Norway (January 30, 1750 - January 12, 1831) was the daughter of King Frederik V and Princess Louise, daughter of King George II and Caroline of Ansbach. Her paternal grandparents where King Christian VI and Sophia Magdalen of Brandenburg-Kulmbach.

She married Landgrave Charles of Hesse-Kassel on August 30, 1766 at Christianborg Slot, Copenhagen. They had 6 children together:

  1. Marie Sophie, Princess of Hesse (20 October 176721 March 1852), married on 31 July 1790 to the future King Frederik VI of Denmark
  2. Wilhelm, Prince of Hesse (15 January 176914 July 1772)
  3. Prince Frederik of Hesse (24 May 177124 February 1845)
  4. Juliane, Princess of Hesse (19 January 177311 March 1860), Protestant Abbess of Itzehoe
  5. Prince Christian of Hesse (14 August 177614 November 1814)
  6. Louise Caroline, Princess of Hesse (28 September 178913 March 1867), married on 28 January 1810 to Wilhelm, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg
