Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University

Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University is abbreviated by (PMU), is a new private university in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The school is named after Prince Mohammad bin Fahd, governor of the Eastern Province.

The University was inaugurated in April 2006[1] and is scheduled to open in September 2006 with bachelor's degrees in 17 academic programs with courses taught in English. It will be divided into five colleges: College of Engineering, College of Administrative Sciences and College of Information Technology for males and the College of Administrative Sciences and College of Information Technology for females. All university buildings are planned for completion in 2008, and the school plans to have a total enrollment of 5,500 by 2011.
The design is based on the American model for academic programs and administrative organization, and is being developed in conjunction with the non-profit Texas International Education Consortium which organizes experts from the 32 public universities in Texas.
