Prince Karl of Leiningen

Karl Vladimir Ernst Heinrich, Prince of Leiningen was born on 2 January 1928 in Coburg.
He was the son of Friedrich Karl, Prince of Leiningen (1898-1946) and Maria Kirillovna of Russia (1907-1951). Maria's mother was Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (1876-1936), a granddaughter of Victoria and her husband Grand Duke Kyril of Russia (1876-1938). Karl was a great great grandson of Victoria of the United Kingdom and Alexander II of Russia
Karl married Princess Marie Louise of Bulgaria in a civil ceremony in Amorbach on 14 February 1957. They also married in a religious ceremony in Cannes on 20 February 1957. The marriage produced two sons:
Karl and Maria Luisa divorced on 4 December 1968.
He died on 28 September 1990 in Vered Hagalil, Israel.
