Prince Grubeša
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Grubeša Branislavljević (d. 1125) was the prince and ruler of Doclea and Antivari from 1118-1125. After the Byzantines defeated King George in 1118, Grubeša assumed the Doclean throne as a Byzantine protégé. The Byzantines gave Grubeša the authority of reigning in Doclea, as well as commanding the army that battled against George. Grubeša reigned over Doclea until 1125 when he was defeated in Antivari by George, with which he used Rascian aid to return to the Doclean throne. Grubeša either was killed or died in that battle against George in Antivari in 1125. He was buried in the Church of Saint George in Antivari.
