Primitive Love is the 9th studio album released by the Miami Sound Machine, and their second English language studio album, released in 1985 (see 1985 in music).

This album was a follow-up to the past singles in all the senses, in music, in rhythms and with the objective of the band's spothlight, even when the past album was released to some success it didn't gave the spothlight desired by the band at the United States, with the release of this album and its lead single, "Conga", the band finally came out of dark to gain popularity around the world.

This album was the band's first appearance on the American albums chart, reaching #23 on the Billboard 200, as other secondary, the album ended at the 1986 Billboard Year End Charts at number ten[1].

All the singles released from this album reached the Top 40: "Conga", "Bad Boy", "Words Get in the Way" and "Falling in Love (Uh-Oh)"[1].

As of 2008, the album has sold over 5 million copies world wide[1].
