Primera División de México Apertura 2008

The Primera División Apertura 2008 is a Mexican football tournament; one of two tournaments held each year. It will begin in July 25, 2008 and will run until December of the same year. The top two teams in each group will qualify directly to the Liguilla (playoffs), the two best third place teams from each group also qualify. The “Repechaje” mechanisim is discontinued for this tournament. CF Juárez is the promoted team to the league after beating León in the Primera División A promotion final; while CD Veracruz was relegated to the Primera “A”.
