Primera División Peruana 1993

The 1993 season of the Primera División Peruana, the top category of Peruvian football (soccer), was played by 16 teams. The national champions were Universitario de Deportes.

The 1993 season was played with a regular season tournament played on a home-and-away round-robin basis followed by a Liguilla post-season. The winners of the regular season were crowned national champions and qualified for the Copa Libertadores 1994. The second place team qualified for the Liguilla post-season with a bonus point while the teams that placed third to eighth contested a playoff round. Three teams from the playoff round qualified for the Liguilla and the winners Alianza Lima qualified for the Copa Libertadores. The bottow two teams were relegated and the third-to-last team played a relegation playoff with the Copa Peru runners-up at the end of the regular season. A second season known as the Intermediate Tournament was played to determine which team obtained the Copa CONMEBOL berth. However, the winners Deportivo Municipal declined to play the Copa CONMEBOL 1994 and the berth went to the Liguilla runners-up Sporting Cristal.
