Primer Plano was a television talk show on Radio Caracas Televisión hosted by Marcel Granier. Primer Plano's most famous guest was current Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez in 1998. The host of the show, Marcel Granier, had his television channel shutdown by a personal decision made by president Chavez when he deny broadcast concession renewal. Chavez say the decision was his and because RCTV was a "coup-plotting" channel and because it was "immoral" and "burgues."[citation needed]
