PRIDE 9: New Blood was a mixed martial arts event held by the PRIDE Fighting Championships. It took place at the Nagoya Rainbow Hall in Nagoya, Japan on June 4, 2000. Matt Serra was to fight on this card, but his opponent, Johil de Oliveira, was injured by a pyrotechnics explosion at the event.1
