This screenshot shows a private message flood. Taken on Windows XP (in classic mode) in mIRC. (the network this was taken on was freenode) The clones here were made through tor.
[edit] Fair use rationale for IRC flood
- I believe that it is fair to use this image in the IRC flood article:
- To illustrate how a message flood can render the user interface of the client difficult to use.
- In the absence of any free alternative. (note, that if anybody on a free <as in speech> client happens to be hit with a message flood, please upload a new screenshot to replace this)
- For use in the free encyclopædia, Wikipedia, hosted by the non-profit Wikimedia foundation.
[edit] Licensing
This is a screenshot of copyrighted computer software, and the copyright for its contents is most likely held by the author(s) or the company that created the software. It is believed that the use of a limited number of web-resolution screenshots:
…qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. If this is a screenshot of free software (GPL, BSD, etc.) do not use this template! Use the license tag that correspond to the license instead, optionally alongside {{Free screenshot}} to categorize as a free screenshot.
