Prester John, I have replied to your comments on my user page. I'd appreciate your response there. Thank you. --Merbabu (talk) 10:11, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Please see the ARA talk page, before making accusations of disruptive editing. thanks.Sennen goroshi (talk) 02:03, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR and edit warring

Please be careful about accusations of edit warring on David Hicks. Remember, 3RR is not and entitlement to revert 4 3 times (as you did), but proscribes edit warring (which you did). I also note that you only used the talk page once you had exhausted your 3RR "entitlement", and then falsely accused the editor of "deleting". again, I'd advise caution. --Merbabu (talk) 03:26, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

I've blocked you for forty-eight hours for your disruptive edit warring on David Hicks. It seems you have quite a history of disruptive editing on that article, and blindly reverting three times then reporting the other user for a 3RR (non-)violation is completely counter to the spirit of our policies. krimpet 04:12, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "I failed to file the 3RR report out correctly and included a diff I should not have. This invalidated my claim and has resulted in User:Brendan making 4 deletions and getting away with it. Can some one review the recent history of David Hicks read the 3RR report again and make another judgement? What I claimed was the 2nd revert at 19:57 is incorrect and should have been this edit at 19:26. This is now revert number 1 . If you study the recent history of the article you will see Brendan removing the phrase I detailed in the 3RR report 4 times while I attempted to reinsert it 3 times. For him to not be blocked and the information he deleted (without going to the talkpage) not to be replaced is ridiculous. Prester John (talk) 05:18, 24 February 2008 (UTC)"

Decline reason: "That is not an argument for you to be unblocked. — Sandstein (talk) 07:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

[edit] Please discuss before reverting

You may want to contribute to this discussion, as you are one of the editors I'm talking about. Dscotese (talk) 01:43, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Aboriginal history of Western Australia

PJ,

How do you feel about doing some of my dirty work for me? Aboriginal history of Western Australia has started to morph into a personal essay on the evils done to indigenous Western Australians by white colonialists. A few editors have expressed concern, but the nature of the topic, and the direction of the bias, are such that one feels one can't complain without first protesting "I'm not racist but..." What it needs is some serious attention from a cranky bugger who is experienced in rooting out bias, and who is happy to stomp around a topic that everyone else tiptoes around. Naturally I thought of you.

Thanks, I'll take a look, wife however is trying to reign in all wiki activity. Prester John (talk) 02:33, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
You have my sympathy :-( Hesperian 02:42, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Wow, I just read the article. A very tough task indeed. Badly written, complete POV, editorial everywhere. I think it needs the Aboriginal touch of just being ignited and letting it raze itself into bare earth :) Prester John (talk) 03:34, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Hesperian 04:05, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

My pleasure :) Prester John (talk) 04:07, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] David Hicks: SMH Afganistan allegations

Hi, as a contributor to David Hicks:Talk:SMH Afganistan allegations, you might be interested to know that I have put in a request for mediation by the Mediation Cabal on matters discussed there. SmithBlue (talk) 09:02, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] David Hicks residing in Abbotsford, New South Wales

Do we need to track every house that David Hicks lives in from now on, by adding a reference in to that suburb's/town's article? I think not. If he becomes a permanent resident somewhere for some length of time, it may be relevant. J Bar (talk) 04:02, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WebHamster

Please stop editing WebHamster's userspace. Take your complaint back to ANI and/or comment at the discussion going on at WT:UP. Edit-warring over another user's page will not accomplish anything. Equazcion /C 02:03, 10 Mar 2008 (UTC)

Larry Sanger retired from Wikipedia.[1] I suggest you revert your post and post it at another venue such as ANI. QuackGuru (talk) 19:29, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Child pornography? Really? While I recall a couple of asides about how it's nearly impossible to verify the age of the nude models appearing in pictures hosted on Wikimedia servers, I believe the discussion concerning WH's user page was about whether it's appropriate for nude images to be used, not whether or not said image violated any child pornography laws.... --jonny-mt 02:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] jihadwatch

please don't edit based on your personal opinion / observation , it's been described as islamophobic (or 'anti-islam sentiment') by a reliable source . thestick (talk) 11:52, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Please do not edit based on your personal opinion/observation. Just because you believe it to be islamophobic doesn't mean it belongs in the article. Yahel Guhan 19:57, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Given your prior history of tendentious edit warring (including the block I placed on you last week), I have blocked you for 72 hours for edit warring on Jihad Watch. Please cease this edit warring; it is unacceptable. krimpet 21:53, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bemused

Dear Prester John, I was a bit puzzled by your deletion of text on my sandbox page that I had drafted when a request for mediation got posted re John Howard and the copra plantations issue. The text was not doing anyone any harm, nor was it article text, tucked out of the way there, and I was surprised you would go in and delete someone else's trial drafts. While the request for mediation was rejected, that does not mean the issue is dealt with, and I am retaining that text for possible future discussions and ongoing editorial refinements. I have reinstating it on my sandbox page. Regards, hamiltonstone (talk) 11:57, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Final warning

Per WP:ANI#User:Prester John has resumed stalking again, this is your final warning in regards to the stalking of other editor's contributions. You have been blocked previously for that, and for edit warring, and any further infractions will result in a lengthy block. seicer | talk | contribs 13:29, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
