User talk:Premeditated Chaos/Archive 5
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi! This is my talk page. If you're new around here, this is where you leave messages for me. I'm pretty inconsistent in whether I reply on your talk or mine, so if you're picky about it, please let me know. Archives are to the right, new messages to the bottom please, and for Satan's sake, please, give some kind of informative header if you're starting a new conversation. Links and diffs are essential, especially if you're complaining about something horrible I've done with my admin buttons. Finally, don't troll, it's lame. |

[edit] User:Arconovum
You deleted my user page claiming it was blatant advertising, considering that I modeled it after after numerous other sites on wikipedia ie: Autodesk, Intel, Microsoft etc.. I don't see how my user page differs from theirs. Secondly I don't sell software on my website, because their is nothing to sell, and my software will be free to the public! So again its not advertising.
As far as (CSD G11) goes, it can be applied to almost all information on Wikipedia.
Just to reiterate you have easily 1000 companies and even more individual products listed on Wikipedia. Products as irrelevant as videogames to floor mops, which by (CSD G11) is just advertising and not encyclopedic material.
[edit] Brook Lopez image
I added an image to my Brook Lopez article and you deleted it. ("illustrates a subject for which a free image might reasonably be found or created that adequately provides the same information") It was my first article/ attempt to upload a picture. Will you help me find a picture that would be allowed in wikipedia? --SPatrick89

[edit] regarding G4
Just wondering... I take it this was not yet a candidate for salting in your opinion? — coelacan — 20:36, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, crap. I knew there was something I forgot to do there. *sigh* Sorry. This is why I shouldn't edit Wikipedia when I'm dead tired. Thanks for reminding me. ♠PMC♠ 20:59, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Boston Slang
Why was Boston Slang Deleted? Does not seem to be a good reason for it. Can you please undo this? I think this was a very entertaining article that many people enjoyed.
- WP:ILIKEIT is not a valid reason for a keep. If you disagree with my deletion, open a request at WP:DRV. ♠PMC♠ 09:15, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the deletion of Boston Slang - I guess I don't understand the reason for the deletion. Could you elaborate?
I am not sure why Boston Slang was ever deleted by you. If the reason was "listcruft" than I beg to differ. Although, Boston Slang may seem to only be of interest to people in Boston, The movie "The Departed" (the Academy Award Winner for best picture this year) had many Boston Slang terms being thrown around in the dialogue, so the interest has just peaked to an international scale, and this article may be extremely useful to those folks (and there are millions of them), trying to understand what Jack Nicholson, Mark Walberg, Matt Damon, or Leonardo Dicaprio are saying. Oh, and there is a sequel scheduled for production.
- Because it was unsourced, unreferenced, and the people on the Delete side made a very good case. I had transwikied it to Wiktionary, but they didn't seem to want it. A lot of the stuff on the list wasn't exclusive to Boston; conversely, a lot of the stuff on the list had Bostonites going, "Hang on, I live in Boston and I've never heard someone say [blah]". As it was, it was absolutely unsourcable outside of "Hey, I heard that in Boston one time." ♠PMC♠ 22:34, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- This is a sad and sorry loss of information. It was good info and had various links to it from multiple Boston-centric websites for people to learn about local culture, dialect, and proper pronunciation. Yet again wikimaniacs have suffered the loss of relevant information in the misguided attempts at cleaning out the wikipedia instead of clarifying it. If you can, please-please-please, give me (a Boston local) access to the original information so I can host it, and the wikipedia never be bothered with these dumb-founded debates again. Had I known it was going to be deleted, I would have copied it. Thank you! (michealespinola.at.gmail.dot.com) --Mespinola 00:51, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

So your saying that if its not that important it will be deleted?
[edit] Stupid Question
Hi I have a stupid question. You see there is one kid in my class that I don't like. He keeps on making fun of me and dissing me. One day I'm gonna crack and beat him up. But I don't wanna beat him up. Could you offer me any advice to make him stop? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Runewiki777 (talk • contribs) 19:55, 14 May 2007 (UTC).
- Hello. I saw your reply to the message above on the user's talk page. As a devoted Catholic, I believe violence should never be used; not even as a last resort. Even though you have the right to say what you wish, I do not think you should promote violence, especially to minors. Thank you. - Hello. This is a reply to your comment on my talk page. You are correct. I completely misread the article, and I'm very sorry. What you say is true; turning the other cheek never made a bully go away, but I'm very sure God prefers I do that instead of hitting the bully, since when you hit a bully, it makes you a bully, too. Violence is never the answer. I would also like to point out that I also suggested he tell an authoritative figure. Glad you liked the WikiSmile, though. [edit] Sorry
Sorry to bug you, but I don't get it. I changed it, but not the way I want it to be like. Is it possible for you to create one for me and I use that in the preferences? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Runewiki777 (talk • contribs) 18:56, 15 May 2007 (UTC).

Hi I just read your user page. Could you retrieve the data from tactics arena online, battle animals and sherwood dungeon? Runewiki777 21:10, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Åh vad jag älskade dig just då.jpg
Thanks for your help on this image. My work has come to a standstill due to the image policy/fair use discussion going on at WP: Albums. I am waiting for the dust to settle so I don't have to end up reverting hundreds of edits. Thus most of my images still lack the changes you have made. Anyway that's one less update I'll have to do. !Sampm 02:59, 16 May 2007 (UTC)!
[edit] Hello
Hi I want to improve the William G. Wilcox School 48 article. I done a rewrite but I'm not sure which one is better. What do you think? Runewiki777 20:22, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi
There is a page named A cappella. I feel that it should be moved to Cappella but there is a cappella page already. There needs to be a Disambiguation page, but I don't know how to make one. Help! Runewiki777 23:30, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] About my Signature
This was already brought to my attention. How long approximately should it be? Can you please direct me to a specific character count? Thanks. And I'll partially change my songs that are entirely quoted on the outside chance that Wikipedia is sued because my single userpage. - Bagel7What ya say, what ya say, what ya say, what??? 07:26, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yours is like 5 characters... I'll cut mine down, but not that much. And so I have to delete the whole song? How much of it can I have? - Bagel7What ya say, what ya say, what ya say, what??? 07:51, 31 May 2007 (UTC) (Sorry about the sig being the same right now, ill change it in a sec)
- Better? - Bagel7WU TANG! 07:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know what you are/were talking about. Alright, alright, don't jump the gun, I'll find some way to cut it down. They are, after all, my quotes. :) - Bagel7WU TANG! 08:20, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Better? - Bagel7WU TANG! 07:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
I didn't say I own the quotes in general, I just mean that I own the quotes in the context on my quote page. I can't own the quote page and I can't own the quotes themselves. The least I can do is own the quotes in the context of the quote page. - Bagel7WU TANG! 09:00, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ok.... this is getting pointless and it doesn't even matter. I'm not saying I own anything on Wikipedia, I'm saying the quotes I decide to put on the quote page are the ones I chose and get to decide, therefore they are, in a sense, "mine." I don't own anything. - Bagel7WU TANG! 09:05, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
