Talk:President of the United States/Comments

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is a statement in a reference to Franklin Roosevelt that it was obvious that he (Roosevelt) was disabled. This is a admirable viewpoint in our day and time. We are aware as a people that "disabled" is not a signpost of insignificant. Many Americans with disabilities have excelled in their field of expertise. I grew up hearing about FDR and never, never did I hear the man was disabled (polio). It wasn't until much later through expose type articles I found out about his muscular degeneration. Many are and were in the same boat I was in. This may seem a trivial matter but in essence it changes the truth of our history. There is too much of this occurring in our nation. Stick to history fact and not history fiction.
