This is a stupid question. It's referenced in th earticle.

[edit] Sodium content in Blue Menu items

"although Blue Menu items have been criticized by the CSPI for their high sodium content". The linked to article doesn't seem to criticize the sodium content. The relevant bits (last part of the document) criticize the non-Blue Menu PC products for sodium, and says Blue Menu PC products "could be a lot worse" with their 400mg to 800mg of sodium. For comparison, another product in the article is described as having "only 400mg" of sodium, while another with 900mg is described as being "high in sodium". Also, the entire document is talking about frozen dinners, which is only a small portion of the Blue Menu items available.--Nonpareility 17:27, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Well, "it could be worse" is hardly a ringing endorsement. My take was that they are the best of the worst. Perhaps the article could be edited to remove "criticize" and replace it with something a bit less harsh. The article is very close to being advertising at present though, so I think we need to work to balance the article more, rather than looking for critical things to remove. I don't see the article being all that unbalanced (unorganized/incomplete, maybe). It seems factual, minus the part I criticized and the quote "PC is known for its innovative products". Even if it was, the solution to an unbalanced article is not to leave unsubstantiated parts in. I'll probably remove both.--Nonpareility 15:02, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Go ahead and delete both, it will be an improvement. It seems factual, granted, but even with the changes you suggest it sounds a bit like a corporate pep rally to me, rather than an encyclopedia article. Well, I removed the reference. I really didn't think it was appropriate; out of the whole article, one line was slightly disapproving of Blue Menu, not worthy of mentioning. The article doesn't need balancing now that it generally feels like an encyclopedia article. Also feel my description of Blue Menu is more encyclopedic. Gord pollock 01:06, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reorganization

A few points of note (feel free to make the changes back!):

  • Removed references to PC beer, didn't seem noteworthy enough
  • Replaced the explanation of what PARKnSHOP is with a link to its article.
  • Removed references to Weston, Neilson Dairy, and Western Grocers. I didn't feel it added any information about PC, rather it's more suitable to the applicable stores.--Nonpareility 17:17, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

President's Choice now produces a large range of dairy products - especially under their "Organics" label - including butter, cheese, milk, and yogurt. It seems inaccurate to leave this in the description. 74.98.92.214 04:35, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

PC Organics milk is not only available in 2%. As a former Loblaws-chain employee, I can assert that they carry PC Organics 1%, 2%, skim, and homogenized milk, despite the fact that their website doesn't list them. [edit] PC in NY grocery chains

Hi. Someone will have to find sources to back me up but here's what I know as a local: Price Chopper started carrying PC products in the mid or late 90s, though I don't know if that's still the case as I haven't lived in the area in a while. I do live in the Topps area of NY currently, and they no longer carry PC products - so far as I know, they haven't since I moved in 1999. EllePollack 14:55, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
