[edit] What is necessary to improve this article

  • More information on PPI disruption in numerous diseases;
  • An outline of brain circuitry underlying the startle response and its inhibition and computer models of such circuits;
  • More images: screenshots of registering software, printouts, photos of people tested, mice tested, other species tested;
  • Examples of startle sounds also could be added;
  • Would be great if the article was reviewed by a specialist of the field, for example, Neal Swerdlow;
  • Table of influence of different chemical compounds on PPI in different species, with different reactions across species highlighted;
