[edit] Nonexistent planning

I fully agree with this statement:

Plans for securing Iraqi cities following the invasion, infrastructure reconstruction, and transitioning the country into a post-war government — plans to "win the peace" — were either nonexistent or woefully inadequate.

However, it strikes me as a point-of-view statement. Perhaps it should be recast in terms that directly attribute it to a source, rather than attributing it solely through the footnote. Steve Schonberger (talk) 15:21, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Normally I would agree, but it seems to be pretty well-supported by the following sentences, including one from an official government investigator. Go ahead and preface it with "According to Rajiv Chandrasekaran's Imperial Life in the Emerald City, ..." if it really bugs you. MilesAgain (talk) 15:52, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
