Talk:Premiers of Tasmania
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Notes: Need to find out what the initials stand for. ??? above is where Tasmanian government website reports Liberal, but that is impossible since the Liberal Party was not founded until 1944. In one case where they report Liberal prior to 1944 (Walter Lee in 1934), the Premier belonged in fact to the Nationalists. In other cases, I can't find any information from the Internet. There is very little information available on the Internet on former Tasmanian premiers, and the Tasmanian government website is pretty useless.
[edit] Missing Premier=
According to the website Tasmanian Parliament list of Premiers. After William Propsting (1903) Sir John Evans holds office from 1904-1909. Before Elliott Lewis resumes. John Evans does not show up on this list or in the Tasmanian Premiers template. -- Kyle sb
[edit] Lewis
"Elliot Lewis" and "Neil Lewis" are the same person. He was known as Elliot. Please fix this page, fix the template and merge the two articles. Adam 14:08, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have been looking through articles on Tasmanian Premiers all night and noticed the mistake. It actually caused me to become extremely confused with my edits. The article Elliott Lewis has more information about his life. The other article Neil Lewis is just a stub. There is no information in Neil Lewis that doesnt appear in the other article. They now have merge tags, when all thats needed is a redirect from Neil Lewis to Elliot. Can you, or someone explain to me how to do that. I have no idea. -- Kyle sb
