[edit] rename title into Prehistoric Malaysia
It would be better if the title is renamed to Prehistory Malaysia. Current titles (Early history of Malaysia) might be misleading and not descriptive of the issue tackled by the article. If there's no objection within 24 hours, I'll move it. __earth (Talk) 10:20, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed
This article does not reflect the common concensus by anthropologists and linguists about the origin of the Austronesian peoples. see Austronesian languages.23prootie 09:23, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
I agree the article really needs tidying up. There's too much stuff not directly related to Malay. Can anyone with the right knowledge help? Cavingliz 10:20, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Disputed
I created this page. This page was created based on The Encyclopedia of Malaysia, volume: Languages & Literature, Early History, and other references. The theory of origin of Malay-speaking peoples in Malaysia was written clearly inside the book, it has a total 3 (or maybe more) theories of origin:
- The Coastal Vietnam theory (originated from Yunnan) (founded 1889)
- The Taiwan theory (1997)
- The New Guinea theory (1965).
Anyone who wants to contribute the Taiwan & New Guinea theories or other new theories, please add or please create new pages.
