Premier Farnell

Premier Farnell, based in the UK was formed in 1996 with the takeover of Premier Industrial Corporation of the USA by Farnell Electronics plc.
Listed on the London Stock Exchange as Premier Farnell plc LSE: PFL the company is a multi-channel distributor of electronic, maintenance, repair and operation products and specialist services throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. For the financial year ended 28th January 2007 the company had group sales of £823.1 million and operating profit of £82.3 million. It employs 4100 people globally.
While global in scope, Premier Farnell chooses to trades locally under different brand names. Its primary electronics businesses trade as Farnell in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Newark in the US, Canada and Mexico, and Premier Electronics in China. In Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Brazil the operation is known as Farnell Newark.
