Precision Monolithics, Inc. also known in the electronics industry (and popularly) as PMI, was an American company based in Santa Clara, California, USA that developed and produced linear semiconductors.

In the early 70's George Erdi left Fairchild to be a founder of Precision Monolithics, Inc. A co-founder was Dan Dooley. PMI bought Solid State Micro Technology (for Music). George Erdi left PMI in 1981 to co-found Linear Technology. PMI was bought by Analog Devices in August 1990.

First PMI startet with linear semiconductors such as Operational Amplifiers. The famous OP07 was created by PMI. Some patents were granted to PMI for their Amplifiers. Later on PMI started to produce mixed-signal semiconductors like data acquisition, data conversion, and telecommunication integrated circuits.
