Talk:Pray

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following was added to this page, but it really just duplicates stuff in prayer, so I added a redirect and copied the text here.

Praying is the activity of a person who practices a religion communicating directly with his or her diety or higher power. It can take the form of suplication, praise, contemplation, communion, or otherwise. When it is a prayer of suplication the person asks the diety or higher power to intervene in a matter in the physical world, for example requesting the diety to heal a sick friend or help someone who is suffering or stop an impending war. A prayer of praise consists mainly of an expression of gratitude and appreciation. A prayer of contemplation can be an act of listening for direction from the higher power in the matter of a person's life decisions. charlieF 13:43 Mar 14, 2003 (UTC)
