Blessed are those who get benefit from Vedanta philosophy. But for a seeker in modern times (for a person who is a Samsari) it is not at all important what Bhagwan Shankaracharya told, what Bhagwan Madhavacharya told or what Bhagwan Ramanujacharya told. The only important thing is that someone more knowledgeable and more experienced in Self realisation matters tells us in very simple words how to (1) start living this life properly and (2) start knowing about our ownself. So far as I have understood is that when a person becomes 'Shaant' and 'Prasann' he can progress further.
