[edit] Artcile's marl for deletion

The article had been marked for deletion without any notice to the editors of the article. According to this page, it is not too early to have an article about Prashant Tamang as he is one of the finalists. Also, I think it is better to have more references to increase the citability of the article and creditibility of article. I did not find "What wikipedia is not" limiting the number of citations per article. All the references are present from citations and no other references have been added. If there is some problem with "over citing", please remove the appropriate citations. Please feel free to remove the external links, if need be. Also, Prashant Tamang is NOT Nepalese Idol. He is Indian idol contestant of Nepalese origin. Please bear that in mind. Thank you. --Eukesh 10:04, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

What do you mean by saying Also, Prashant Tamang is NOT Nepalese Idol. He is Indian idol contestant of Nepalese origin. Please bear that in mind. Thank you.

Just yesterday Sunita Williams came to India. She an American National of Indian origin. But why were all your politicians pretending as though she is an Indian. I heard in Aaj Tak, Narendra Modi who never mentioned anything about Sunita, even when she made her space conquest; was also eager to meet her.
And then during the Fifa Worldcup 2006, Vikash Doraso.. who is a French player of Mauritan origin. And then I read in Times of India coloumns which tried to prove as though he is from India it self... So what's your problem if the Nepalese people take him as a Nepali Idol.. we are taking Prashant... and he too doesn't have a problem with that.. So what's your problem.. Or is there a rule that only people whom you people think should be indian idol should be chosen..
Even Udit Narayn, Danny Dengzonpa, Manisha Koirala, Binod Pradhan, Bhaichung Bhutia... all those Gorkha regiment that protect your motherland are of nepali origin... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.70.64.41 (talk) 06:20, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Too many External Links

Too many external links for one idol, makes no sense..pls limit it to 2 or 3 only.

well, the citations need to stay. There are 4 external links. If the links are irrelevant to the page, please feel free to delete them. Btw, this article was featured in the DYK part of mainpage which might have something to do with the article being properly cited and providing relevant links. If the article continues to grow, who knows, it might be a featured article (which definitely needs a lot of external links and citations). Thank you.--Eukesh 15:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] should be deleted

this article should be deleted. none of the other Indian idol 3 contestants have articles, why should he have 1? either it should be deleted or all the other contestants should get an article.

Whosoever this is, take this: the Idol wikiproject consensus allows ALL THE FINALISTS OF ANY IDOL PROGRAMS IN THE WHOLE OF EARTH TO HAVE A PAGE OF THEIR OWN IN WIKIPEDIA. If you think that you need to create article of other finalists, go ahead. No one is stopping you. But if you vandalize this page again or mark it for deletion, please be notified that you will be marked for blocking from editing in this page again. Thank you.--Eukesh 08:27, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Neutrality

He is the only contestant to have never been in the bottom 3 or 4 of the galas. He has made it to the top 2 of Indian Idol 3 along with best friend Amit Paul. He never was a once more champion. all other singers who sang good left the show, but ths person somehow managed to survive to exist in the show dispite average singing or never getting good acclodes from Judges.

It has been seemingly tough for the judges to admit that Prashant Tamang is talent singer? The whole event described here can be viewed in Indian Idol site This reflects a valid concern whether the organizers will go with the POPULAR CHOICE or interfere the contest with their biasness and discriminations. Additionally, when the results are out, it will have to be seen that whether SONY will support thier poster boy Amit Paul or Prashant Tamang, who clearly, if only popular votes are concerned, will be the II3.

Wikipedia article is not a place for people to air their own opinions against or in favour of a person. It is also not a place for you to come into your conclusion about things. Realdan 09:48, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I dont agree. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.161.38.70 (talk) 07:14, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

well if you dont agree, you have to state the reason why you believe the above paragraph doesnt amount to the contributor own opinion about the matter. This is not the place for such things frankly. Unless a leading reliable source has been attached to the statement. I dont think this is acceptable. I m sorry. Realdan 20:53, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Please someone maintain this page. Its sad to see a page which appeared in front page being destroyed by a mob of xenophobics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.79.62.21 (talk) 17:21, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

As ethnic Nepalese population make less than 1 percent of Indian population, most of whom are farmers and do not have proper access to mobile lines, it is evident that he is being supported from non-Nepalese people as well.

Sentences like these are highly violation of POV. Hope this kind of statement must not be repeated in the article again. I know, u know but Wikipedia will not allow all these statement. If u can find reference to someone important who have told this, then it can be added. Prashant Rocks. Amartyabag TALK2ME 08:42, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

PRASHANT JUST WON! PLEASE PUT IT ON THE PAGE --Eukesh 19:00, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Indian idol has been the show where the audience has to decide on who is going to be the winner. This is the policy of Indian idol. Now Prashant has won and many thinks Amit is a better singer than Prashant and they are not too happy with the result. I want to say something to this entire grouchy people out there, if Amit lost it’s because of you. You did not send him enough votes. You cared too much about your money and dint want to spent money sending SMS. Now prashant won and get that in your head and stop complaining. Hate yourself for being stingy. Also if you cannot still believe Prashant won then you can go to the Burger King eat a Ham Burger and get over it. If you are talking about neutrality, then first remove the paragraph "bias judgement" from the article. Looks like Prashant supporters have made wikipedia their own home page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vijaypurbhe (talk • contribs) 03:55, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

This message is specifically for Abee. We all know how Prashant won. Bengal Police and Gorkha Aandolan guys were threatening people to vote for Prashant. The police was collecting funds from people to vote for him. So the result was tweaked and was not a fair result at all. One doesnt need to be an expert to see that Amit is/was a better singer than Prashant. Thats a hand down truth. So Abee, go and find some other job.

This message is for the one who does not have a guts to put his name on the post. If you are asking me to go find a different Job let me tell you something I think you need to learn to accept the reality. If you think people were threatened to vote for Prashant then prove it or shut your mouth. Prashant is a winner and I don’t have to prove that. Its been proven by 70 million votes. I think you need to go find yourself a good doctor. Oh baby I hope you are atleast having a good night sleep. Please no crying. If you dare to post something again, please atleast write your name and please be real, no Baloney please. Abee —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.102.18.109 (talk) 18:43, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Its funny someone with name Abee is asking me the name. Well my name is VJ. How about that? Why should we shut our mouth? Its democracy isnt it? Or is that the way you made Prashant win, by shutting everyone's mouth? WTF are you daring me for? do you have any guts to use your real name Abee? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vijaypurbhe (talk • contribs) 02:04, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

VJ is really a good name. From the discussion we are having, looks like you dont like Prashant and you are more of Amit's fan. Let me ask you something, How much did you spend voting for Amit if you really think he is a good singer. The rule says "The good singer is not gonna win if you dont send him the votes". So how much did you spend VJ. Please atleast say 100+ or I have to stop our conversation. By the way I am in America and my name is abee, nobody recoznises me with my real name. Even I forgot my real name. So its ABEE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.184.240.68 (talk) 14:25, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Abee, I dont have anything against you or Prashant. I am just stating what I have known about the voting. If you employ 100 people to keep dialing the number (as you must know there is no limit on how many times you can vote from the same number) and vote for someone, this is what will happen. I am not taking away anything from Prashant but I think the whole game was played unfairly. BTW, if you are in the US, you probably are my neighbor... :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vijaypurbhe (talk • contribs) 15:54, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

VJ, I think Amit did not have crazy fans like Prashant did. If there were men employed to vote for Prashant the same was possible and was legally permitted for Amit also. Why were there no men employed to vote for Amit. He lacked crazy fans and he lacked fans who were practical and creative. By the way, no doubt he has got plenty of grouchy, complaing fans who keeps adding comments after the game is over. In twenty20 cricket India won the cup but we all know Australia is the best but does that matter. The cup is with India. Lets be real. Where in America?? abee —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.102.18.109 (talk) 16:48, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

You got a point there. I am in Atlanta. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vijaypurbhe (talk • contribs) 21:02, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Abee from Kansas. It was a nice discussion. You have a good one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.26.109.8 (talk) 01:01, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

stupid prashant —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cutekomal (talkcontribs) 12:38, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Komal, do you have any idea how stupid you are. I think you need to go get a reality check and please do that quick or its going to be too late. Wow, I cant believe you called prashant stupid. Do you ever watch news or are you always like this who makes no sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.102.18.109 (talk) 05:47, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
