I have done my best to "clean up" this article and to remove obvious NPOV problems. (The man is obviusly a bastard, and it comes out clearly even when the article is re-written in the most objective way I could make it and without the emotional outbursts of the original writer). I think the tags can now be removed. Anybody care to comment on that? Adam keller 01:47, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- Adam, i think you have done some great work, but much of this article's content is unreferenced speculation and/or commentary. (ie, too much "reasonable assumptions", "this means", etc.) Wikipedia should not have either but just deal with facts. I have put a whole lot of {{cn}} tags where I think in-line citations shoudl be provided, or info removed completely. Thus, depsite you improvements, i still think this article needs the tags. It is essentially an opinion peice, not an encyclopedic entry. I actually agree with much of what is written (Ie, I am no Prabowo fan!), but it is still only opinion and speculation in many places. --Merbabu 03:41, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- That is reasonable. I did locate in the Jakarta Riots of May 1998 article a specific source to one item which was originally unreferenced and copied it here, and will try to do more, but I think it needs very much work - much more than was needed to just tidy up the material which was there already.Adam keller 13:55, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

I've posted this from a subpage of this article - it wasn't much use there. My posting here is not intended as endorsement or objection. Hope original poster doesn't mind...
- This 'bio' reads like the worst form of Fleet-Street penny-dreadful propagandist leaflet. The amount of emotive non-referenced and highly speculative, not to mention outright libelous/slanderous commentary is shocking. I strongly argue the entire article be removed and the speculation and accusation placed into a new sub-category. At worst it reads as speculative provative slander, at best emotive politicised anecdotally-based character assassination. THis artlcle has little historical, social or academic merit. [edit] Assessment
I've just rated this a start class article and "mid" importance (from "low", "mid", "high", or "top"). Any thoughts? --Merbabu 11:06, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Friend, T. (2003). Indonesian Destinies. Harvard University Press. ISBN 0-674-01137-6. is a good book. A fair bit of Prabowo discussion. Also, the Asiaweek article listed in further reading is looooooooooong - must be something in there. --Merbabu 11:13, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
