Ch Pratap Singh Thakran

Ch Pratap Singh Thakran was born on 8th August in Village Pataudi, Nanu Khod, Haryana. Son of Ch Maluk Singh Thakran. A lawyer by profession since joint Punjab Haryana, he studied criminal law from Jullender University Punjab, he gradually inclined towards Haryana state politics. One of the oldest Jan Sangh Party members, he won his first election from Gurgaon Constituency in 1967. The year prior Haryana was carved out of the joint states of Punjab (a.k.a Joint Punjab) in the year 1966.
He was a member of Vishal Haryana Party in Rao Virendra's tenure. He won his second election from the Janata Party in 1977 as a Member of Legislative Assembly for Haryana also from the Gurgaon constituency.
Currently he resides in Gurgaon and provides pro bono legal services to his constituents. His constituents comprise mostly of the impoverished people within the 30 mile radius of Gurgaon that are in need of legal or political assistance as a result of the growing economic disparity stemming from the unprecedented economic growth in the area.
He is multi lingual in Hindi, English, Urdu, Farsi (Persian), Punjabi & Haryanvi.
