Inhabitants of Prat are called Pratais.
As of the census of 1999, the village has a population of 1,017; and 1,084 as of the estimation of 2005.

- the Trévoazan church, from the 15th century, designated as a Monument historique (historic monument) in 1926, has collapsed in the 1910s; the remains of the frontage and the tower are visible.
- Manoir de Coatelan, from the 15th century, classified as a Monument historique in 1927
