Prahova River

The Prahova River is a river of Southern Romania, which rises from the Bucegi Mountains, in the Southern Carpathians and flows into the Ialomiţa (near Adâncata). The upper reach of the river, upstream of the junction with the Azuga River is sometimes called the Prahoviţa River.
It has a length of 183 kilometers, of which 6 km in Braşov County, 161 km in Prahova County and the last 16 km in Ilfov county.
Prahova's basin has 3740 km², which is about 75% of the surface of the Prahova county.
