Praevalitana (also Praevaliana or Prevalis) was an ancient Roman province. It included parts of present-day Montenegro, Serbia, and Albania.

It was formed during the reign of emperor Diocletian (284-305) from southeastern corner of the province of Dalmatia. [1]

Capitals of Praevalitana were Scodra (Shkodër) and Doclea (Duklja). Other cities in the province included Anderva (Nikšić), Acruvium (Kotor), Risunium (Risan), Butua (Budva), etc.
