Práxedis G. Guerrero is one of the 67 municipalities of the Mexican state of Chihuahua, in the north of the state along the border with the United States. Its seat is Práxedis G. Guerrero.

[edit] Climate and ecology

The climate is extremely arid, with very high temperatures in the summer and very low temperatures in the winter, with extreme recorded temperatures of 43ºC and -23ºC. It has very low levels of precipitation.

Its flora are plants typical of the desert, and its fauna includes species such as the puma or the coyote.

Práxedis G. Guerrero has a very low population that rarely grows. In fact, much of the population, above all those of school age, leave for nearby Ciudad Juárez, due to the great level of economic activity there.

According to the 2005 Census by INEGI, the population of the municipality of Práxedis G. Guerrero is 8,514, of which 4,304 are men and 4,210 are women.[1]
