Poynton High School and Performing Arts College is a Secondary School in Poynton near Stockport, England. It is a Mixed school of Non Denominational religion in the Cheshire Local Education Authority.
Poynton High School has approximately 1700 pupils between Years 7 and 13 (i.e. ages 11-18) including a 6th Form College which has Arts College Status.
The current head is a Mrs Susan Adamson.
[edit] Involvement
The school is involved with many external organisations and groups and links with foreign education establishments. Comenius, Heaton Special School & Music Academy are all integral to the school as a community and have been established for a period of time.
The school's motto which many pupils do not know about, derived from the hymn by John Bunyan, is "Constant, come wind, come weather".
The incumbent Head of VIth Form is Mr. Matthew G. Dean.
